Last updated: 6 October 2026. This is the support page for the distribot iPhone app and for the website distribot.de. It is run by one person, so you always reach a human.

Email is the fastest way and the one we prefer, because we can look things up properly before answering. We aim to reply within two business days. If your message is about a bug, it helps a great deal if you write which iPhone model and which iOS version you are on, and what you did just before the problem appeared.
There is no support ticket system, no chatbot and no queue number. You write, a person reads it.
2. Before you write — the questions that come up most
“My video is out, but the day didn't count.”
A day counts once TikTok lists the video as a public video of your connected account. TikTok can take a few minutes, sometimes longer, before a new video appears in that list. You can close the app in the meantime: it checks again the next time you open it. A day counts once, however many videos you publish on it. Videos that TikTok does not list for your account, for example private ones, are not counted.
“How does the week work?”
A week is a block of seven days that starts on the day of your first counted video. Every day with at least one public video fills the flame by one step. Reach your goal — 3, 5 or 7 days, as you chose — and the week is done; the rest of it is rest days. If a week ends short of the goal, the count of weeks in a row starts again, and your next video starts week 1. Your best run is kept. You can change your goal in your profile; the change applies from the next week.
“My videos are not showing up.”
Check that your TikTok account is still connected (tap your picture, then look at the TikTok card); if the app asks you to reconnect, do so. The app only reads the list of your videos from TikTok; it cannot post for you. If the connection is fine and a video is still missing, write to us.
“Where do the ideas come from?”
From a fixed collection of post ideas: formats that work for almost any topic, from behind-the-scenes to quick tips. Tap the refresh button in Pip's speech bubble for another one.
“I switched phones.”
Install distribot on the new iPhone and continue with the same TikTok account as before. Your weeks, your topic, your penguin's name and your settings are stored with your account and come back. You may need to allow notifications again.
“How do I delete my account?”
In the app, tap your picture, then “Delete account”. That removes your account, your weeks, your settings, your video records and your TikTok connection from our servers. Nothing on TikTok is changed. The details, and what to do if you no longer have the app, are on our Data deletion page.
“Is it really free? What's the catch?”
It is free. There are no ads, no subscription and no in-app purchases, and we do not sell your data. What we process to run the app is set out in our Privacy Policy.
3. Reporting a bug or asking for a feature
Both go to the same address: hello@distribot.de. Feature requests are genuinely read — the app is small and early, and what people ask for shapes what gets built next. We cannot promise that a request will be implemented, and we will say so honestly rather than leaving you waiting.
4. Privacy, data and your rights
What the app processes — your account, your topic and settings, your weeks, your TikTok connection and information about your videos — and what happens on this website — hosting, optional analytics, email — is described in our Privacy Policy. Your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR are described there too, and the route to exercising them is in Data Deletion.
5. Legal details
The full provider information required under § 5 DDG — operator, address, VAT status and responsibility for content — is in our Imprint (Legal notice). The terms that apply to this website and to the app are in our Terms.
Note on the App Store: your licence to use the distribot app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Our own terms for the app are in sections 6 to 13 of our Terms of Service; they apply alongside it and take nothing away from it. Support for the app is provided by us, not by Apple.
